Everyone looked fantastic but the School Council could only choose one winner from each class.
The winners were…
Congratulations Ben in Nursery who came as Horrid Henry. These books by Francesca Simon are very funny! I’m sure you’re not as naughty as Horrid Henry is are you Ben?
The Year 1 winner was Miles. Can you guess who he is by looking at his costume? He is Captain Underpants of course!
What a fantastic effort Joe in Year 2. You make a brilliant Kung Fu Panda! I hope you didn’t get too hot in that outfit!
Hugh in Year 4 is in there somewhere! You make a super Mr Strong! Your dumbell looked very heavy!
Mrs Rogers and Mrs Jenner won the staff prize. They came as the “Little Miss Twins” by Roger Hargreaves. Well done ladies!
Well done India in class 3. You were a wonderful Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz!
Joe in class 5 was Mr Stink from the book by David Walliams. What a good idea! Have you his other books?
Iris was the very noisy winner in class 6! She came as the Saucepan Man from a book by Enid Blyton called “The Faraway Tree”. She has kindly leant me her book to read in the Easter holidays. Come back soon to see my book review!
Here they are…
Nursery and Reception winners, Heidi and Harry.
Harry made Fireman Sam and Heidi made her egg into Rupenzel.
The class 2 winner:
Zoe’s adorable dalmations – only 99 more to make Zoe!
Jessica in Year 3 made her egg into Babe, the Sheep pig by Dick King-Smith.
Well done Zoe and Charlie from class 1. Charlie made his egg into a Star Wars storm trooper!
Imogen (class 4) and Jess (class 3) showing off their winning eggs and certificates.
Look carefully at Imogen’s famous owl. What book is it from?
All of our winners received a special certificate and a five pound book token as a prize. Here are some of our winners with the books they have chosen.
Congratulations to James in class 5 and Caitlin in class 6. What super eggs!
Look at the detail on Caitlin’s egg. The Tiger who came to tea is one of Miss Tustin’s favourite books!
Unfortunately, James’s Mr Bump egg had a accident and fell off the table and cracked…This made it even more realistic!
Well done to everyone who took part. All of your eggs were egg-cellent!!!
Today was lots of fun as we all came to school dressed as a character from a book. Even the teachers joined in! After a parade in assembly, it was the job of our School Council to decide on the winner from each class!
Do you recognise any of the characters?
Come back soon to see who won…

Why don’t you post me a comment about your favourite poem online?
Joshua Seigal, the poet who visited Harvey Road, wrote class 2 a very special poem about their class pet stick insect, Bradley.
Here it is:
Joshua Seigal, the poet who visited our school has inspired us to write our own poetry. Read these lovely poems by Isla in class 2 and India in class 3. Well done girls!
